    Ann Hossack

    (1779-1780)

When formerly spoke of case of Ann Hossack was under very great diffic with respect to many partic.

Of these however some at [leas] now removed.

And with regard to others much less room for doubt.

Now appears that obstruct of menst. disch. effect of pregnancy.

This formerly mentiond as prob. supp.

At same time howver, pointed it out also, as what might proceed from Phth

And what with others, tended to corrob. suppos of that affect.

But although now appear that was really from diff cause yet conject as to exist of Phthis rend at least more probab.

And although attempts to allev not without affect, yet have evid made no progr, as to cure of affect.

No do I think that in pres [situat] of patient, any meas could with prop. be tried for that purpose.

Am therefore still more than ever inclind to formr prognos.

Reckon it by much most probab. that though patient may hang out during pregn. yet that soon after deliv will fall victim to the affect.
