    DEP/DUA/1/45/54 (Normalised version)

    William Watt

    (1789)

    William Wall at 23. No35

This also another distinctly marked instance of Epilepsy.

And so similar to one just [heard] of, that hardly necessary to say almost anything with respect to it.

In this case however, appearance upon whole much more favourable.

And have I own greater hopes of cure.

At same time, ultimate failure of such would by no means be great disappointment.

Nor would it even surprise to find, other case, which have pronounced much more unfavourable succeeding, although this [should] fail.

For in this disease grounds of prognosis in many respects uncertain

Here also as in former instances am attempting cure by means of Cuprum Ammoniala.

And now takes it to extent of five pills or two grains & half in day.

During use also circumstances hitherto at least favourable.

For only fit which has had, since begun use, a very slight one.

And intervals considerably longer than formerly.

This then sufficient inducement to persist in employment.

And whether in end shall be ultimately successful or not, have yet I am inclined to think, both in this, & in preceding case, examples of influence of Cuprum Ammoniala as giving temporary mitigation of affection.
