    DEP/DUA/1/40/14 (Normalised version)

    Mary Morison

    (1786-1787)

No 14. Mary Morison at 21

    Affection somewhat of complicated nature

And difficult to say whether different parts any connection or not.

Chief are pectoral complaint & affection of arm.

In first some symptoms giving suspicion of Phthisis.

Am however inclined to think that rather catarrhal.

While look upon affection of arm as chiefly of rheumatic kind.

Not however without some tendency to paralysis.

And with this view, besides Unguent Terebinth, have thoughts of Electricity

But in treatment as well as in judgement of event, must be determined by farther knowledge of disease from observing progress.
