    Disease to which this patient subjected a distinctly marked instance of Anasarca.

    And although to considerable extent, is yet, at least as far as patient has been able to observe but of recent date.

    While at same time originally attributed to accidental exposure to cold & moisture

    From these circumstances then led to entertain more favourable hope of recovery.

    This shall endeavour to accomplish by combining with [proportion] evacuant the use of such tonics as will prevent return of effusion.

    With first view while endeavour to promote absorption by Emetic & Friction shall aim at evacuation by Diuretic.

    And as soon as from these have evidence of any considerable effect will conjoin them with Peruvian Bark & Chalybeate.

    This practice have often had recourse to in similar instances with best effect.

    And hope that may succeed in present.

    But if fails future practices must be accommodated to circumstances in which shall then find patient.
