    William Oswald

    (1785-1786)

    19. In case of William Oswald, an example of Cephalgia, somewhat different from any of those already taken notice of.

And here I am inclined to consider pain, as very much depending, on state of circulation, particularly balance between internal & external parts of head.

This at least [rendered] highly probable from manifest connection which has had with Tinea capitis, & suppuration in different parts of head.

And this connection manifestly suggests propriety of attempting cure by drain from neighbourhood of head.

And with this view, to use of Valerian already directed for him, mean to superadd, in issue in neck or back part of head.
