    Ann Bremmer

    (1781-1782)

    Ann Bremmer.

Our patient for a haemorrhoidal affection.

Before she came under our care had chiefly appeared under form of bleeding rectum

But then in state of [bleeding] piles & much more uneasy to her.

Not however with any alarming symptoms nor such as threatened [obstinate] disease.

Hoped therefore that might soon be removed

And in this expectation not disappointed.

Directed for her a medicine very commonly employed in such affections, a gently laxative electuary of Cream Tartar & Sulphur.

From use of this all symptoms soon disappeared.

And in short time was dismissed cured.
