    DEP/DUA/1/22/25 (Normalised version)

    William Campbell

    (1779-1780)

In case of William Campbell attempted cure of Dropsy by Cream of Tartar as a diuretic.

And while attended with desired affect of producing copious discharge of urine, swellings, under use very soon disappeared.

After this put upon infusion of Cortex Salix alba as means of strengthening tone

And thus hoped should be able to prevent return.

What has been consequence however cannot pretend to say.

As since first prescribed have not [again] seen him in this place.

Presumption however that continues free from affection.

For when consider that at last report affection entirely gone, may I think with some degree of confidence presume, that if any return would again have applied for assistance.
