Jean Frazer
(1777-1778)
In History of case of Jean Frazer had what might be considered as indications of two affections.
Had some symptoms which highly probably arose from presence of worms in alimentary canal While was manifestly subjected to Tinea capitis. With view to former very few measures taken when symptoms entirely disappeared. And as no more worms discharged concluded patient at least for time entirely rid of them. And attention chiefly directed to affection of head. For this before patient came under our care various powerful remedies had been employed. Here after removal of incrustation by poultices with the view of taking off disease from parts below had recourse to Aerugine Aeris. And this application apparently attended with success For not only was return of incrustation prevented but skin of head regained its natural condition. And dismissed patient apparently free from affection. Formerly remarked however that Tinea one of those diseases which after seemingly complete cure apt to return. And present case has verified that observation. For this patient has again applied at the Dispensary with some return of Tinea Capitis. And now to much higher degree than before affected with symptoms from worms. While proper remedies employed against these with view to affection of head recourse is now had to Hepar Sulphuris. And if shall be means of radical cure in present case will I own with me be strong proof of efficacy.
