    Case of this pat. not altog [witht] doubt.

    At least can hardly be said to be a distinct markd inst of Phth.

    At same time many circum giving strong susp. of it.

    For although hectic fever cannot be said to be very consid, yet some other sympt even of alarm nat.

    Such for ex as exhaust & [colliq.] [sw].

    When these superadded to cough dyspn pain of breast & loss of strength render case very alarm.

    And upon whole, little doubt that not only an inst of Phthis, but that will in no long time even prove fatal to pat.

    For recov even from most fav cases are very rare.

    And as such cannot repres pres. inst.

    Still however not to be lookd upon as desper.

    And some circum even rather fav than otherwise.

    Pulse for ex at 80, shews that hectic fever not exquis.

    And whiteness of tongue an indic that little if any purul expect.

    Hence ground at least for some attemp

    In this case was intent to have given trial to issue & G. Myrrh.

    But former have been obliged to aband.

    And since directed mixt of Vitr. Acid & Theb. Tinct

    But of pract afterwards
