    Grizell Gall

    No8. Novr 10th. 1789.

    Grizell Gall at 39, complains of frequent cough with severe pains of her breast & her abdomen. Her breathing is laborious & she expectorates with difficulty a frothy mucaginous matter.

    Pulse about 76 Tongue white Belly costive, Appetite & strength impaired, Catamenia regular.

    These complaints have succeeded a fever with which she was affectd about five weeks ago, & which was apparently produced by a fright succeeded by abortion.

    Since she had the fever she has taken a variety of medicines, with the view of combating the cough, but has perceived little benefit from [their] use.
