    In case of this patient have very manif an affect. of paralyt kind.

    And that too without any uncommon app. or complic

    For though pain of ancle & knee might be consid as indic some degree of paralyt Rheum affect, yet these well known to be very freq. attend of Paral.

    And prob. even more conseq of what may be calld deprav. sensat than any thing else.

    In circum of this palsy sever partic ment rather unfav as otherw.

    Partic emaciat of leg & arm of affected side.

    Dimin of heat, & of impet of circul in these.

    But on othr hand to be obs. that sympt now much less consid than once were.

    And although disease of consid stand, yet is by no means passd period of artif recov.

    Hope therefore that by proper [mean] use of left side if not compl. rest. may yet be brought to more perf state than at pres.

    And with intent, although in cert circum of paralys, both evac & stim prop. yet more now to be looked for from latter than former.

    Accord to these is my intent here to have first & prin recourse.

    But observ on pract referr till future opport.
