    Peter Paterson

    (1788)

    No19. Peter Paterson at 25.

Concer. disease of this patient not without appreh.

Now for sev months subj to affect of rheum kind.

And these [derivd] origin from [Infla]

Hence then cannot be altog. without some dread of Phthis.

A disease often making great progr. before distinct markd.

But with our patient, no alarm sympt has yet at least taken place.

And seems more an affect of fauces & trachea than of lungs

Accord chiefly appears under form of affect of voice, hoarseness, [illegible] or paraphonia.

And inclind to hope that may here consider it as example of Paraph Catarrhlis as stild by Sauv.

Is accord from this view of disease that have had recourse to an oily mixt.

For where aphonia or paraphon remov. by any remed, more by those lubr. fauces than any othr.

But at same time having Phthis in view have also empl. Cicut & Bark.

And in after treatm this part of [disea] will require at least to be const obj of attent.

By effects of these in hopes complaint may be removd.

If not, will thence be best able to judge, what other pract may be empl. with prosp of success.
