Disease of this patient but of short stand & sympt not numer. In these however comm charact of two diff affect, Catarh & Phthis. And in pres situat of pat diffic to say to which to be referrd. If Phthis is yet at utmost but in incip state. If on contrary catarh is attended attended with some sympt rather alarm Partic prof. night sweats. And what may be consid as a singul. at that time cough most severe. Is however upon whole a sympt rather indic Phthisis than Catarrh. For in latter affect with [the] circul. at surface cough comm. mitig While in former, always encr. where circulat accel. Cough itself also that occuring in Phthis. For while little expect is rather tussic than tussis. This however cough attend on very worst modif of Phth, the tuberc. To this disease also both app & age of patient give counten. From these consid then susp of Phthis & that patient will at last fall victim to it. Here as in Mary Thorborn, mean to try Gum Myrrh. And if not prod of benef shall at least cont it till disease dist. marked. In [that] case some thought of trying an empr. Nostr. [Godbold] Veg. Bals. An artic of comp of which ignor. But in a disease so fatal not only allowab. but prop to make trial of any artic said used with success.
