In affect of this pat. have in some degree a combin of pector & stom ailm At least evid affect of latter in dimin appetite, nausea, & pyrosis to which at times subj. But by much most matter part of compl. is affect of breast. And can have no doubt in consid this as an ex of chron catarrh. This disease abund indic, by cough dyspn. app. of matter expect. contin of affect, & encr. sever. during winter. For in that season is one of most freq. as well as most troublem. diseases. And very diff comb with those who from condit ofhabitlife & from necess occup. cannot avoid expos to cold. When to this add, that affect of pres. patient, already of seven years stand. cannot look for speedy cure. Espec. at this season of year, when cold weather but begin. Some pract however may be empl. at least with view of allev affect. As such have here directed a vomit of Ipecac & Squill pills. By first have in view to unload breast For of all expect, action of vomit the most powerful. By last to prev fresh accumul. by promot disch as secreted &prev. encr. quantit of urine. Besides this have enjoind the support cutic disch. by prop cloath & by avoid cold. But of effects to be expected from this as well as other pract. which may be found necess. shall afterw speak when [treat] of case at more length.
