    No20th Decr 11th 1787

    Agnes Sead. at 18 has generally five or six loose stools every day, attended with severe gripes & some tenesmus

    She has also some pain in the lower part of her abdomen, which often extends from thence to her loins. She likewise complains of much ardor urinae but voids it in as great quantity as natural. She is affected also with pain in the breast accompanid with much cough & difficulty of breathing. She has likewise much wind at her stomach which is always aggravated after meals.

    Pulse about 100 low & weak intense thirst, appetite much impaird, sleeps ill. She says that the Catamenia have not appeard for these twelve months & that they never were seen above six times.

    The cough attacked her about nine months ago, which she attributes to much exposure to cold. The looseness superveend about four months since, without any obvious cause. She has used no medicines.

    Looseness considerably diminishd since she began the use of her medicines & she is less affected with the cough, but her gripes still continue to be very severe
