    Chief part of this patients affect. consists in severe pain ref to abdom

    But can be no doubt that this as well as nausea the effect of flatul.

    For while pain transit, passing from one part to anoth. is as well as nausea immed relievd by disch of wind.

    Nay to flatul. may even with probab. attrib. both cough & Dysp.

    For from prev free descent of Diaph. not only limits space which lungs should occupy but acts also as cause of irritat.

    May therefore with propriety be stild a case of flatulentia.

    A disease no less common than troublesome.

    And often obstin resist every mode of cure which can employ.

    Is however much more a trouble than a danger. affect.

    And hope that if be not able entirely to remove may at least allev her compl.

    For this purpose, must in first place endeav to give free access to wind already accum.

    And in next to prev farther accumul.

    Is with these intentions that have had recourse to Pil. Foetid & Tinct. Aromat.

    But of pract empl. shall afterwards speak at more length
