    Resp. case of this patient not withou doubts.

    Sympt pres not such as certainly to charact any disease.

    While at the same time are what often attend commen. of diff. affect.

    All of them comm sympts in case of worms

    All of them common sympts in incip hydroceph.

    Partic where of acute kind.

    All of them sympt. arising more from triff irritat in alim canal.

    Of these there opin most inclind to last.

    When afterw. treat of case at more length shall state to you circum both for and against each of these diff. suppos.

    But is on whole one of those affect. [whre] in order to form decis judgem must see more of it.

    And till then most prud plan at least to do but little.

    Accord endeav. hitherto directed to evac of alim canal.

    And on any view of disease from this at least no inconv to be dreaded.

    From affects of these remed, & from situat in which shall next find patien more decis judgem as to nature of affect to be formed.

    And on this future plan of cure must proceed.
