    15. Of case of Joseph Begbie am I own much at loss to form any decis opin.

    Can however be little doubt that affect of compl. nature.

    And while pains, although on trunk of body, which aggrav. by press & motion, are prob. of Rheum kind, though seated in trunk of body.

    Flatus, Borborygm & other affect of alim canal altog. unconn. with that compl.

    These am inclind to consid as conseq. of atonic state of alim canal.

    While again many of othr sympt partic gener. sense of weakness, consid as arising from debilit in conseq of preced disease to which subj.

    Here probab. remed empl. much varied by circum of case.

    And indeed various affect natur indic diff. modes of cure.

    Have in first place had recourse to an Emet, as means of emptying stom & prom. appetite.

    For unquest by due [illegible] of suffic quant of nutrit alim. that chiefly to expect recov. from debilit & exhaust. state of syst. which the conseq. of febrile compl.
