Thos Davie at 14 is troubled with nausea vertigo & inclination to vomit which are followed by different febrile symptoms. He expectorates matter of a yellow colour. Pulse quick appetite very bad. Belly costive He has had but one stool for these two weeks past. This was about four days ago. At times he complains of great thirst. His disease commenced about four weeks ago at which time he was seized with sudden vertigo & cold shivering & to these succeeded an inclination to vomit which was accompanied with an excessive diarrhoea. This was succeeded by the obstipation which has now continued for upwards of 14 days. No cause is assignd for his complaint. And he has used no medicines. Cap. Pil. Aloet. grV om. m. & vesp. nec non Rx. Elix ex Aloe & Rheo. ℥ ii Ag. Menth Pip. ℥IVMcap ℥p. bis indies 29 Has in general had an easy stool every day since he began his medicines. But he still complains much of the headach, vertigo & sickness at stomach Interm Pil. Cont. Mist ex Elix ex Aloe & Rheo u. a Febr 12 Is now free from the headach, but he is at present affected with considerable looseness, having five or six stools in the day. Interm Elix ex Aloe & Rheo & Rx. Magnes. Alb. ℥ii Pulv. Cort. Cassiae Rad Rhei aa ℥p.Mcap coch parv. bis indies 19 Looseness gone & he is free from the headach Let him be dismissd.
