    Jean Stalker

    No24 Decr 7th. 1784

    Jean Stalker at 3. Is affected with a deep yellow colour over the whole surface of her body but particularly remarkable in her face & eyes. She complains also of pain in her abdomen. Pulse & Respiration natural. Belly regular, but her stools are quite white. Urine of a red colour & soon after being discharged it becomes very turbid. It imparts also a deep tinge to linnen cloth immersed in it.

    This affection began on Saturday last. The yellowness was first perceivd in her eyes & has gradually acquired a deeper tinge & become manifest over her whole body.

    No cause is assignd for this complaint. She has used three vomits but without any benefite.
