Ronald McCraw at 40 is affected with running & swelling on the inside of his breast situated over the fourth & fifth rubs, near the sternum, inclining to the right side. This complaint began about the end of June last, & the first appearance it put on, was a tumour of a bluish colour, about the size of the point of his thumb. But it has since that covered more of his Thorax, the flesh is wasted, & an ulceration is formd. No cause is assignd for this complaint. He has used no medicines but the ulceration first began, from the tumour being lanced. Hab. Ungt Saturn ℥ i. quo curetur ulcus. nec non Rx. Pulv. Fol. Cicut. ℥i Rad Gly cyr. ℥i.Mcap coch. ter de die Decr 4th. Has taken the medicine as directed, but the sore continues much as before. Cont. Med. u. a. 12. Cont. Med. 19 The discharge from his breast is considerably diminishd. But a tumour has appeard at another part Cont. Med. u. a. 25 The tumour at the top of the sternum is considerably diminishd since the last report. But the ulcerations on his breast continue nearly as before. Cont. Med. u. a.
