Wm Courage at 13. complains of a pricking pain in his chest under the left mamma which is constant & is encreased by coughing or inspiration. He has no pain in his head or throat but complains of much vertigo The cough is frequent & what he expectorates is thick & viscid. Appetite bad. He is very thirsty. He has sometimes an inclination to vomit. Belly natural. Pulse frequent small & very [compress] About a month ago this complaint first began. The pain was then situated under the sternum & he perceivd a slight uneasiness where the pain is at present felt. This continued to encrease & the formr to abate for about five days, when it ceasd to be perceptible under the Sternum. The disease began with coldness & shivering & was succeeded by encreased heat which continued at least for an hour, & every day since he has had a hot fit about three o’Clock in the forenoon. He imputes his complaint to cold, being frequently obliged to go bare footed Ap. vesic. p. dol. pectoris nec non Rx. Pulv. Crem. Tart. Flor. Sulph aa ℥ pMcap coch parv. bis indies 24 The blister rose well & the powder keeps his belly gently open. The pain of his breast is somewhat easier, but he is still much distressd with cough & frequently with sickness at stomach. Cort. Pulv. Crem. Tart. u. a. 7. The difficulty of breathing & pain of his breast are considerably easier but since the last report he has discharged several worms of the lumbricous kind Interm. Medic & Cap. bis indies Pulv.
