This as well as former cases also not altog without doubts.

Not so much however with regard to anything uncomm. in nature of affect, as to which of two diseases to refer it.

Many of sympt of his [case] such as well known to occurr in Phthisis.

And when due attent paid to insid nature of that disease cannt be without appreh.

At same time from age of patien, from period for which has already contin, from former remiss during summer, & from want of sympt. of hectic fever & other [most] freq in [Phthis], prob. grounds for concl. that merely catarhal.

At first indeed had recourse to repeated Emet.

A meas. equally applic to [the] disease whether Phthis or Catarh.

With these directed also the use of Squills.

And hoped that while former unloaded breast, latter would prev. future stagn.

In this howevr expect. have not yet at least been answ.

For at last report, cough & expect. contin much as before.

Yet expected however that by cont of med & encr. of dose, good effects might be obt

Ordered therfore that squills should be contin & dose augm

But with this as belly bound conj. also Sulph Elect. of Sulph & Cream Tart.

Under these remed. conj with fav [weather] which has lately taken place, hoped that at next report shall find affect consid allev.

And that soon may be entirely removed.

But if this not case, may be obliged to have recours to repet of Emet. or to Blist convert. into issues.

And unless disease realy Phithisis, prob. that in no long time, will yield to this meas.

But if degen into that condit or already partakes of that nature reason to fear that all our endeav. will be in vain.
