    Betty Main. at 50

    Has a considerable itchy eruption on the hairy scalp & especialy behind the ears. The spots are large & red & some of them discharge matter. She is also trobled with a pain & sense of coldness in her bowels, especially in the course of the Colon & has much wind upon her stomach with a sense of weight & uneasiness after eating, but no sickness acidity or pyrosis. Pulse slow & small. Tongue natural. Belly costive, App. indifferent She is thirsty & sleep but little after four in the morning

    The eruptive complaint began about a forthnight ago & first appeard about her ears. It was preceded by an itching over the whole body which however has continued perfectly clean. Her other symptoms are of more than a years standing & are worst in winter She has taken no medicines.

    Min. Ol. Camph. p. aff. & sumat Pil. Foetid cum Aloe gr V om. m. & vesp.

    11. Affections much as before Cont.

    18 Eruption rather aggravated. Cont.

    25 Eruption diminishd in the parts first affected. But it has broken out upon the crown of the head & she has a roughness & very troublesome itching in her neck & several parts of her body. She purges two or three times a day from the pills & thinks that the pain & coldness in her bowels is much better. Cont. Pil &

    Ol. u. a. Tondeat. Capillit & [Ugat]. [paruv] [lance.]

    Febr 8. Cont. u. a.

    22d. The affection of her head & ears is now entirely gone & she is also free from the coldness at stomach of which she complaind. But she is still affected with flatulence. Intr. Ol. Camph. Cont. Pil. Foetid. u. a.

    March 1. Pills have had no effect in moving her belly. But flatulence diminishd. Cont. Pil. u. a.

    8. The pills have little affect in keeping her belly open. Interm

    22. Has in general a stool every day from the pills. But she again complains of the affection of her ears. Cont. Pil & Repet. Ol. Camph. u. a.
