She does not spit much but is very apt to swallow what she expectorates. She complains of pains in her head breast & belly but most commonlynstantly in the latter. She has sometimes severe fits of coughing resembling chin cough & she never had that disease. But the contagion is not in her neighbourhood. Pulse about 120 of natural strength. Skin rather hot. Tongue Appetite & Thirst natural. She sleeps ill & is inclined to costiveness which he mother has constantly observed to aggravate her complaints. She is unable to stand from weakness but her body is not emaciated. Her complexion is fair. Her belly frequently swelld & tense. Her health has never been good but has been much impaird since she had the measles which is a year & a half ago. She was better in Summer than in spring & has had all her symptoms aggravated by the cold weather She had an itchy eruption during the summer & in the spring had swellings of the feet which seem to have been anasarcous. She was a patient at the Dispensary for similar complaints in the month of July during which time she took Rhubarb & Magnesia which kept her belly gently open & she was dismissd relievd. She has lately had a vomit but without any benefite & her mother thinks it has encreased her costiveness. Rx. Pulv. Rhei. Ji. Magnes Alb ℥i.Mcap coch. parv. om m. & Rx Pulv. Fol. Cicut. ℥i.
