of a fair complexion complains of pains in her head & breast on which there are partial sweats during the night, she has a short cough with frequent & anxious respiration She has formerly expectorated in considerable quantity but spits little at present. She sometimes complains of pains in her belly & moans & grinds her teeth & in the day time she picks her nose & lips. But never passd any worms. There is no remarkable swelling of the upper lip or alanarium Heat natural. Tongue moist & white. Belly regular, Appetite impaird. Thirst encreased above the natural standard. Her joints especially those of the lower extremities are swelld & the bones incurvated She frequently complains of pain in them. Head & chest natural. Body emaciated. Abdomen swelld. She has walkd with difficulty since Whitsunday last & her mother thinks this has even been coming on gradually for these two years. She was healthy before she had the measles which happened two years ago. This affection was followed by some glandular swellings of the neck & from that time she has never enjoyd good health. Last week her whole face was hard & swelled but no other part of her body was similarly affected. She has never used cold bathing. Novr 30th Cap. bis in 7 mana Pulv. Ipecac gr V pro. [Encet]. & Rx.
