May 30th 1782. Has for these three years past had an eruption on his face & sometimes on his hands & the fore side of his legs occurring about once or twice a year. The present eruption began on sunday night last & was preceded by a slight dimness of sight & increased heat of his body. He has also a great soreness of the right haunch bone when hard at work which is of three month duration. But he has formerly been affected with it about three years ago. He imputes his first complaints to drinking cold small beer when much heated. His others to stooping at work. His eruption formerly lasted about a forthnight, it continued longer when the weather was cold, & did not seem to be removed either by purges or other physic. Has taken no medicines for his other complaints. Rx. Pulv. Crem. Tart. ℥ii. Pulv. Jallap. Gr VMcap. dos. om. m. June 7th Has in general three stools daily from the powders eruption diminishd Cont. Med. u. a. 14. Eruption quite gone, soreness of his haunch much as before. Intem. med. & illin p. dol. Ol Camph 21 No return of the eruption & in other respects well. Let him be dismissd.
