    Effy Darling

    Eff. Darling at 40.

    Complains of severe & constant cough particularly in the night she spits up a whitish matter which is rather sweet & in great quantity.

    Her breathing is also very much affected.

    P.104. Tongue moist & clean Belly loose having three or four stools in the day. Urine scanty & very high coloured & deposites a white sediment. Menses regular. She complains also of flying pains in the abdomen which are a good deal relievd by the discharge of wind & also by the discharge of stools.

    The cough has continued about a year but it is only within these three weeks, that it has become very severe. Her difficulty of breathin has been of the same continuance

    The pains of her belly commenced about ten months ago when she was pregnant & have continued ever since only within three weeks they have been much aggravated.

    She has used no medicines but a little sulphur & honey, but without relief.
