When formerly spoke of case expressd great uncert. with regard to it. And that uncertainty from all that have seen of the affect still cont. Then suspected that vomiting appar of bloody mattr to which subj might arise from affect of spleen. And grounds for suspic still contin as strong as before. Yet nothing has occured which serves to confirm them. During course of attend have tried great variety of diff pract. Cannot however say that from these has ever derivd matter. benef. And indeed as formerly suggested most of them intended rather with view of obv partic sympt than from hopes of radic cure. Some of most urgent & alarm compl since this patient came under our care unquest. allev. This however inclind to ascribe rathr to natural change which has take place than to artif means of cure Of late an erupt of itself indeed troublesome & distress has appeard on diff parts of his body. But since this bloody vomiting in partic has been greatly mitig. Whatever therefore may be cause of erupt may concl. that is connected with some state of circulat. by which determin of fluids to intern viscer. dimin But although may allev. cannot expect that will cure affect. And reason I think to appreh that on cure of this erupt. other sympt aggr Yet uncertainty as to nature of compl. still leaves us very much in dark whether natural or artifi cure can be affected.has beencame under our careduringat first commen of course & has contin regul attend during whole time.
