Susan Gowans at 12, has on the skin of her legs & arms a dry scabby eruption of a whitish colour. Scales often fall off in considerable numbers from different parts of it, & the skin below has then a red & raw appearance. But in a few days the scales are again renewed with the same appearance as before. Some spots of a similar nature have of late appeared on her face & on the trunk of her body. Belly bound, Appetite & strength somewhat impaired, other functions in a natural state The eruption has been gradually extending for two years past. It first appeared in the form of a small spot on each of the arms. She has used no remedies. Hab. Ungt. Saturn ℥ii illin. p. aff. 23. The ointment has produced no change on the state of the eruption Cont. Ungt. u. a. nec non Rx. Solut. Terr. powder. [murial] gt. 4 X Ag. Distillat. ℥ViMcap. ℥p. bis indies. 30 Has taken her medicines regularly without any uneasiness. Eruption much as before Cont. Med. u. a February 6. Has sometimes had vomiting after her mixture. The eruption is somewhat mended. Cont. Med. u. a. 13 Has continued her medicines without any inconvenience, but some fresh eruption has taken place on her legs Cont. Med u. a. sed feat Mist cum Solut Terr. powdr. mur. gt. 4 XXX 20. The eruption on the left arm is considerably diminished, but some fresh spots have appeared since the last report Cont. Med. u. a 27. No fresh eruption has appeared since the last report, & that upon her arm continues to be much diminished Cont. Med. u. a. March 6 Eruption much diminished Cont. Med. u. a. 13. Does not observe any obvious operation from her mixture. But the eruption is much diminished. Cont. M.
