    DEP/DUA/1/47/15 (Normalised version)

    Susan Gowans

    (1789)

    No27. Susan Gowans. at 20.

In case of this patient an example of a cutaneous affection, nearly resembling that of Alison Wallace.

And may also I apprehend bestow upon present the name of Lepra.

This case in some respects even less favourable than other.

For at least of longer standing.

Here also however not without expectation of cure.

But this in present case mean to attempt on different plan from former.

And may serve at least to [conr.] various modes of treatment in cases appearing very similar.

Here in place of stimulating application externally an active mercurial have directed an emollient & sedative ointment the saturninum.

While internally mean to make trial of solution of muriated Barytes.

An article of which have already had occasion to make some remarks as used in scrofula.

But of which as employed in present disease reserve farther observations till again speak of present case in order of list.
