    No9. November 10th 1789.

    Elizabeth Gall at 24 is affected with cough & dyspnoea attended with a slight pain of the breast, but without any expectoration

    These complaints are commonly aggravated during the night, & she has then generally a considerable moisture on her skin attended with a sense of coldness.

    Pulse 70, Tongue white, Belly & menses regular, Appetite good.

    These complaints began about a month ago, & since that time they have been gradually increasing

    She attributes them to cold to which she was exposed at the time of their commencement.

    She has used no remedies.

    Cap. Pulv. Ipecac. ℈i. pro Emet. nec non ap. vesic. pect. & postea f. [fontic] ope Ungt. Epispast.
