    DEP/DUA/1/45/20 (Normalised version)

    James Gordon

    (1788)

Next case in Register1 that of James Gordon. No18.

Before formerly spoke of case of this patient, had left off attending here & was admitted into Royal Infirmary

When therefore formerly offered, conjectures or rather doubts with respect to his case, I at same time added, that as was not to be subject of practice neither would he be foundation of future remarks here.

And no circumstance has since occurred to lead me to alter opinion.

Indeed very soon after was [dismissed] from Infirmary2.

And since that have neither seen nor heard anything with respect to him

    Explanatory notes:

    1) References are made throughout the case notes to a dispensary patient register. However, no evidence has been found that this register survives.

    2) The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, established in 1729.
