James Sutherland at 44 complains of pain & oppression about the precordia, Vertigo at times, haemorrhage of the extremities, & lassitude with great debility & much depression of spirits. He has also a short cough with scanty expectoration, attended with some dyspnoea, but particularly upon going up an ascent. Pulse rather weak, but regular Appetite not impaired. Sleeps well but sweats much during the night. Belly regular. These complaints first appeared about a month ago. He has always before enjoyed perfect health & he knows no cause to which he can attribute his present symptoms. He has used no medicine Cap. Pil. Foetid cum Aloe gr V om. m. & vesp. December 6 Thinks himself easier since the pills, & is gone to the Country. Let him be dismissed.
