    DEP/DUA/1/40/11 (Normalised version)

    Peggy Hislop

    (1786-1787)

    No11. Peggy Hislop at 21

In case of this as well as some other patients strong indications of Phthisis.

And circumstances by no means favourable.

If conjecture therefore right may fear fatal conclusion.

And that probably in no long time.

May however be subject of trial.

And for this purpose powder of Gum Myrrh

United with equal part of Cream of Tartar.

If succeeds strong evidence of efficacy

But this, though good opinion of Myrrh must acknowledge do not expect.

For in Phthisis is comparably speaking but in few cases that success from any medicine.
