    Elizabeth Jardine

    (1786-1787)

    No5. Elizabeth Jardine at 16.

A distinctly marked instance of Phthisis Pulmonalis.

And am afraid that notwithstanding all that shall be able to do will in end prove fatal.

Yet at same time am inclined to think, as shall afterwards endeavour more fully to show that not of worst kind.

And have put her on the use of Gum Myrrh. a remedy from which inclined to think that in some instances of Phthisis have seen benefits.

And have some hopes that present instance may afford another example.
