    DEP/DUA/1/40/01 (Normalised version)

    Nelly McKay

    (1786-1787)

    General view of Cases.

    No2 Nelly McKay at 10.

A complicated disease of one of eyes.

When came under care so much inflamed that could hardly judge how far diseased in other respects.

Was intent after removal of inflammation to attempt taking off or at least diminishing obfuscation by Pulveris Opthalmia of Dr Baldinger.

But now apprehend that sight of this eye totally lost.

And that can aim at nothing farther than temporary relief of pain.
