Only patient added to list since last lecture Mary McFarlane a woman in 32d year. Can have no doubt in attributing all symptoms to which subjected to presence of Taenia in alimentary canal. And with view to its expulsion am you will observe trying remedy of Madame Nouffer viz Fern Powder. About 18 months ago employed this remedy with same patient. And to show you grounds for present expectation shall read to you history of case as stands in Dispensary register1 at that time On case now read would only beg leave to observe that first time fern powder employed no affect. This led to examination of quality. And finding bad quality procured some good & fresh. From this discharge of large quantity of worms obtained. Shows therefore 1 Efficacy of [illegible] [Filix] 2. Grounds of want of success bad quality 3 Proof that efficacy not dependent on purge Inadequate however to [cure] Filum not discharged even by [illegible] dose. Regenerated from [illegible] head. Ver. [Solitarie]
