Ann Laurie at 19. Is troubled with an eruption on her skin which is principally seated on her lower & upper extremities. She complains also of want of hearing which is at times attended with heaviness of her head & some degree of pain. Appetite good. Belly regular. Catamenia have not appeared for some time past. But she cannot tell the precise time of their first disappearing. This eruption has affected her for upwards of three months. It appears under the form of large red blotches, discharging a small quantity of a watery fluid, & at times covered with white scales, which however soon fall off. She has used some powders & applied some ointment to the part affected but without benefit. Cap. om. m. [h]. som Antim. ppt. ℥ p. nec non Rx. Ungt Citrin. ℥ii Axung. Porcin ℥i. ter simul ul f. Ungt. illin paux p. app. aff. 19. Cont. Med. u. a. 26. Has used the ointment & taken the powders regularly, without any uneasiness & they have had no obvious operation in exciting sweat. Cont. Antim ppt. & Ungt Citrin u. a. March 5. The powder has had no obvious operation. She has regularly continued the ointment & the eruption is much diminished. Cont.
