Charles Campbell. at 70 a Porter voids his urine six or seven times in an hour, the discharge is accompanied with great pain, especially when the flow stops, the smaller the quantity discharged the greater is the pain, the urine upon standing deposits a copious whitish viscid sediment. He never perceived any sand in his urine, nor does the pain shoot from one part to another, but always remains fixed in the bladder & urethra. Pulse, Heat appetite & belly natural. This complaint has continued seven weeks & is worse than at its commencement. He knows no cause to which it can be attributed & has used no medicines. Cap. Pulv. Crem Tart. coch parv. bis indies May 7th The discharge of urine continues nearly in the same state as formerly & his pain is still very severe. The quantity of viscid mucus which the urine deposits on standing is nothing diminished. Cont. Pulv. Crem Tart. sed cap coch parv. om. m. solum. & sumat om. m. Pulv. Fol. Uv. Ursi. ℥ p. May 14. His urine still deposits a very large quantity of the white mucous sediment. His other symptoms are much as before. Cont. Med. u. a. 22. Has taken his medicines as directed & they sit easily on his stomach. But the frequent inclination to discharge urine attended with much pain continues nearly as before.
