Jean Hay at 68 Is troubled with a very profuse & almost constant discharge of florid blood from the vagina. On the present occasion it has continued for eight weeks & it frequently continues [three]. The menses disappeared in her 50th year & never returned till six or seven months ago. since which the discharge above mentioned has seldom been absent. She has only had two children & never had any abortion but the labours were rather lingering & severe. She is easily fatigued. She has constant weakness & pain in the small of her back & has also pain about the superior spine of the left Ischium. 14. Hab. Elix Vitriol acid ℥ p cap [gt] XXX ex Ag. Cyantho om. m & vesp. 21 Has taken the Elixir without any inconvenience & the haemorrhage from the vagina is almost gone. But she still complains of weakness in her back & pain in her side. Appetite good. Belly regular. Cont Elx Vitriol. u. a. & illin Bals. Anod p. app. dolent 28 Has had no return of the Haemorrhage since the last report, but she still complains, much of the pain of her side, which has been but little alleviated by the friction with the Anodyne Balsam. Cont Elix. & Bals. u. a. March 6th Has had now nothing of the discharge for near three weeks past & is but little affected with the pain in her back In other respects well Let her be dismissed.
