Charles Watt at 26 A Shoemaker, caught a severe cold in March last & has ever since laboured under cough & dyspnoea. The matter brought up by the cough is very copious especially in the mornings, of a particular appearance & very ill tasted. But without any mixture of blood. He has no pain on either side but he lies most commonly on his back. Pulse 80. Tongue clean & red towards the point. Belly regular, Sleeps well. Appetite good but since these complaints came on he is much emaciated. He has used no medicines, but was once blooded without relief. Cap. Pulv. Ipecac Ji. pro Emet. nec non Rx. Pulv. G. Myrrh. Pulv. Crem Tart. aa JiMcap dos. om. m. & vesp. 24. The vomit operated well & has taken the powders regularly which sit easily on his stomach. His cough is much easier & his expectoration much diminished. Belly regular Pulse 96 Appetite more keen than natural Tongue very clean. Cont. Pulv. G. Myrrh u. a. June 7th Cough much easier & expectoration much diminished since he began the powders. And he finds himself in other respects much better. Belly regular. Appetite good. Pulse 80. Cont. Pulv. G. Myrrh. u. a.
