Is affected with vomiting of every kind of food, which is rejected in mouthfuls soon after it is taken with a sour & bitter taste. She is troubled with flatulence in the bowels which she in general passes downwards but her stomach does not swell after eating. A piece of beef stake is almost the only thing that will sit upon her stomach & even this is thrown up if she takes anything liquid soon after it. Her breakfast does not stay a minute with her She retains her dinner a little longer & if she goes to bed immediately after supper the food which she takes is not rejected. Pulse, Tongue Belly & Appetite natural. She is not thirsty sleeps well, & her general health seems but little affected. Her stools are natural both in colour & consistence. Her vomiting unattended with any pain They began on the 3d of January without any obvious cause, but the matter vomited was not acid or bitter, till within this last fortnight. She has taken Chamomile Tea, Peppermint water, Ipecacuanha, Rhubarb, & the bitter infusion with Tincture Aromatic without any relief. She has never passed any worms Cap. Pulv. Cort. The powder of bark does not sit upon her stomach & she is still constantly affected with vomiting soon after taking food. Interm Cort. & Rx. Confect Japon. ℥i. Ag. Font. ℥IVMcap. ℥p. bis indies. 21. The solution of the Confectio Japonica has seldom stayed on her stomach & she is still almost constantly affected with vomiting after taking food. Interm. Mist. & Rx. Tinct. Thebaic [gt] [4] X Ag. Menth. ℥VIMcap ℥p ter indies. 28. Has had little of the vomiting since she began the mixture with the Tincture Thebaic. Appetite good. Cont. Mist cum Tinct. Theb. u. a. January 4. Dismissed cured.
