She does not find that effect from milk. Respiration quick & anxious.

Her mother says that she has been feverish this fortnight, & that her present affection appeared in the form of a common catarrh.

She is also troubled with fits in which she remains motionless for some time & quite insensible but is not convulsed. Her lips & whole body grow pale, her tongue flutters, she is unable to speak during their continuance. This complaint is of two years duration & occurs at very uncertain intervals.

It has sometimes been absent for a quarter of a year. When she has had one of these fits, she has frequently several others following it in quick succession. She has often had six or seven fits in one morning. She had one last night about 7 p.m. which was not however succeeded by any similar one. She had a vomit on Friday last which brought off a good deal of tough phlegm but her catarrhal affection is now much in the same state as before the vomit.
