    Arabella Wallis

    (1782-1783)

Have already treated at considerable length of case of Arabella Wallis.

And had then occasion to observe that case seemed to me to be in many respects singular.

Was by no means free from doubts with respect.

And therefore remarked that if should terminate in our hands whether successfully or otherwise, would again probably make it subject of few observations.

Am sorry to say that an [unsuccessful] termination has now taken place.

Now therefore come to make few observations formerly promised.

But previous to this shall beg leave to read History of case as well as account of Death & Dissection as inserted in Register1

    Explanatory notes:

    1) References are made throughout the case notes to a dispensary patient register. However, no evidence has been found that this register survives.
