    Mary Rawlinson at. 29.

    May 18. 1782

    Complains of sickness at stomach & pain of her head, & also of different parts of her body. She is likewise frequently distressed with a spasmodic affection of the oesophagus. She complains also of violent pain in the side & breast with a cough & expectorates a thick matter of a sweetish taste sometimes however saltish.

    She has had the cough two months & ascribes it to exposure to cold. menses irregular & she has frequently fluor albus.

    Belly costive, much thirst, Pulse 60.

    Has taken no medicines.

    Rx. Inf. Amar. ℥VI

    Tinct Armat ℥i M

    cap. ℥p. bis indies nec non

    cap. om. nocte. Pil. Foetid.

    cum Aloe. gr X.

    June 7th Passed many small worms after the use of her medicines which from her description were ascarides. Other symptoms much as before.
