    DEP/DUA/1/22/28 (Normalised version)

    Robert Davie

    (1779-1780)

In case of Robert Davie, treated a herpetic affection of leg, principally by an external application.

Use viz of Calx of Zinc in form of ointment

With this indeed conjoined Salt polychrest

But merely with intention of keeping belly gently open & thus preventing inconvenience that might occur to [illegible ] discharge.

Can have no doubt then in attributing cure which happened soon after last spoke of case, to the application of Zinc
