    Elizabeth Gray

    (1777-1778)

In cases of John Auchinlech & Elizabeth Gray two Rheumatic patients hoped to have opportunity of giving trial to Rhododendron.

But by first patient was not taken, & by last employed without desired affects.

In this case however had recourse to another practice which had not before employed.

Friction viz with Mercurial ointment on affected joints.

And am inclined to think that in this instance practice was attended with good effects
