    Catherine Morison

    (1777-1778)

In case of Catherine Morison affected with sores which considered as of scrofula nature employed practice which had not before used.

Use viz of White Vitriol both taken internally as tonic & applied externally to the sore as combined with ointment with same intention.

After due continuation of this course had satisfaction of dismissing patient free from affection.

Am however very far from representing it as what will succeed in every case of Scrofula

Yet cannot help looking on affects which have here attended it as at least encouraging to future trials.
