    Elizabeth Anderson

    (1777-1778)

In case of Elizabeth Anderson had complained of unconnected affection.

For tumour on sternum wished to have given fair trial to electricity as means of producing resolution & renewing circulation.

During time however that attendance continued cannot say that was product of any benefit.

Yet this case I do not consider as affording any objection to employment in other instances.

For was by no means continued for such length of time as could expect to produce much effect.

And had it even been persisted in much longer must have necessarily concluded it from nature & situation a very unfavourable instance.

While continued under our care however other circumstances with which distressed, vertigo & tinnitus aurium much alleviated.

And when consider that this alleviation produced during use of pill Gum. gives some additional confirmation of conjecture that these depend on affection of alimentary canal.
